I have been observing weather for 41 years and I have to say that I never remember one that has been consistently above average in temperature as this one. Unless, of course, I selectively chose not to remember such a reality.
When I think about the fact that I have only measured 0.3″ of snow here in East Killingly this month, and that is one of the “highest” statewide totals, it really is mind boggling.
I know that there is at least some chance of an offshore storm coming close to our area over the weekend. Maybe THIS is the storm that we snow lovers have been waiting for? I’m afraid to jinx things by becoming hopeful, so I’ll leave that worry up to those who are professionals in this field.
Until such time, I look forward to at least one snowstorm this month which will close everything down for at least one day. What a refreshing change that would be!
