Winter recap at my station

Since it’s now March, the meterological winter season has ended. Looking back at the month’s of December to February the one thing the stands out has been the temperatures. Each month averaged about 5 to 7 degrees above normal. At my weather station here in Hamden, during December the lowest temperature was 13 with the highest of 56. During January the lowest was 6 and the highest was 60. And during February the lowest was 15 and the highest was 60. Throughout the 3 month period temperatures many days were in the 40s and 50s instead of the typical 30s.
Secondly the snowfall has been below normal, during December only a trace was recorded, During January 12.5 inches and during February about 4.5″.
What a big difference from last years big snowfall, and cold temperatures!
