Snow, Snow, and More Snow!

Today we were (and right now, still are) experiencing a Nor’Easter that has left in its path a pretty healthy amount of snow fall. In Hamden today it began around 10:15 am and then it got stronger from there. I went outside and took this picture (Above) and then took a rough estimate of snowfall totals so far. About 1 to 2 inches had fallen last time I checked. Even though it isn’t enough to have a massive snowball fight or make a snowman, this amount is enough to make roads and walkways extremely slick. Possible ice can form and “slush” can form and just cause a dangerous situation for a motorist or pedestrian. Use caution when out on the roads and don’t underestimate it. It does feel weird having a huge Hurricane impact us then a week later, we get a Nor’Easter which has caused power outages and other damage already. Again, stay safe out there and a bit of advice I would give would be, if you do not have to go out, then don’t. We don’t want any accidents caused.

*Keep in mind this storm could produce a lot more snow. the system has stalled out over western CT currently*
