July Review For Hamden

image 258d9d6c6cdb78111 July Review For Hamden
This July will be remembered for being one of the hottest months on record. However, I will remember it as being the most consistently humid months ever! Here at my station in Hamden the dew point was over 70° on 27 of the 31 days!  In keeping records the last 5 years here, I have had about 10 days or so with dew points over 70°, so this past month was simply outrageous!

Temperatures were also above normal, with the worst heat wave stretch from July 14 to 20! Another standout of the month was the overnight low temperature, with 17 mornings above 70° for a low! And only 3 mornings featured a low temperature under 60°!  This was highly unusual just like the dew points were!
