July Summary from North Haven

July was a very hot and humid month in Connecticut.  The average temperature from my weather station in North Haven was 76.2°.  This is the same temperature that Hartford had last year for July.  This year Hartford had the hottest July on record!

The hottest day was on 7/18/13 when it hit 96.4°.  July 18th was also the hottest day of 2012 in North Haven when it hit 98° that day. 

North Haven received 3.19 inches of rain in July, which is a little below normal.  The frequency of the rain this summer has made it easier to manage my garden.  The rain came in small doses as the wettest day was only .43”.
