A frosty start in parts of the state this morning! Here is a picture snapped by Nick in the Clintonville section of North Haven showing the frost on a pool cover:
A nice warming trend is still expected as a result of high pressure slowly building east through the end of this week. I am going for 80 degrees inland Friday & Saturday with middle to upper 70s at the shoreline. I think the humidity will rise too! Many emails have come in with the same question…should I remove my A/C unit from the window. I would answer “not yet”!
A cold front will drag some showers through the area Sunday. This front will settle to the south and allow for some clearing Monday.
I am going with changes that include rain and some wind for Tuesday and early Wednesday with an offshore storm next week. It has been trending closer and closer to Southern new England. The ECMWF is really wet with some big rain totals possible. Let’s see how this plays out!
