David Iversen became the Chief Investigator for News 8 in June of 2013.
David’s reporting has prompted officials to write new laws, expose serious problems in court systems and uncovered millions of dollars in government waste.
Before landing in Connecticut, David made stops in Tupelo, Mississippi, Tennessee and most recently, West Virginia. There, David was a legislative and investigative reporter.
David was raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but was educated and began his reporting career in Minnesota. He graduated from Saint Cloud State University, where he worked his way through college as a reporter for TV and radio stations. He has reported for broadcast, radio and print. His passion lies with broadcast.
David has been honored with several AP Awards, Emmys and an Edward R. Murrow Award.
When he’s not working, you can find him with a camera or on a trail. David loves photography and the outdoors. He has volunteered for several organizations and looks forward to making Connecticut his new home.
