Erin Logan joined the News 8 team in September 2011. She was named Weekend Evening Anchor in January 2013. Before coming to News 8, she was at ABC 6 in Providence.
From April 2007-April 2010, Erin was the 5:30 anchor at WNDU in South Bend, Indiana. One of the 90 minute newscasts she anchored won an AP award for “Best Newscast.”
Erin’s second job over the years has been an instructor at the collegiate level. She’s taught several media courses and workshops, most recently at Johnson and Wales, Indiana University South Bend, and the University of Notre Dame.
Erin always finds her way back close to her family. She’s worked at the NBC affiliates in Boston and Providence. Her first job in the business was weekend anchor in Presque Isle, Maine.
Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 2000. In 2002, she got her Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism at Boston University.
During her free time, Erin loves running, volunteering at charity events helping children, and spending time with her family. In September 2012, she became a Board Member for the New Haven YMCA. Her dad grew up at a local YMCA and credits his success to a mentor there.
Erin is thrilled to call Connecticut home. If you have any story ideas or volunteering suggestions, e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
