Forgery suspect extradicted from Pennsylvania

Ronald Beatty.

WATERTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) – A man wanted in Watertown on an outstanding felony arrest warrant has been picked up and brought back to Connecticut.

The police department’s extradition unit had to travel to West Chester, Pennsylvania, to extradite Ronald Beatty, 54, of 1600 Church Lane, Philadelphia. He had managed to elude police since his warrant was signed in 2009.

Beatty was serving time in West Chester on an unrelated charge, requiring Watertown police to wait until he had finished his sentence.

Beatty has already been arraigned in Waterbury Superior Court on charges of forgery, larceny and interfering with an officer.
