BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) – A 19-year-old is facing larceny charges after police say an officer spotted him in a stolen vehicle.
Officers Mark Martocchio spotted the stolen Chevrolet Traverse just after 4 p.m. in the area of Wood Avenue, police said. He waited for back-up before pulling the vehicle over on East Eaton Street. After warning the driver he had a K-9, the driver, Keith Jones, 19, surrendered.
Jones is charged with first degree larceny.
There were other people in the vehicle at the time. They were released and do not face charges.
