(WTNH) — How much is too much when it comes to pregnant women and trying to stay fit with Crossfit. That’s the question many of you responded to in tonight’s Voice of the People.
Jen from Cheshire said, “I think that it’s definitely safe for pregnant women who have already been doing Crossfit and become pregnant to continue to do their workout regiment.”
Cherelle from Westbrook said, “I’m calling about these pregnant woman pumping iron. What is the point, what are you trying to prove? I think it’s absolutely absurd. I mean you have a child you’re carrying, basically it sounds like an ego issue.”
Mary from Waterbury said, “I think they need to use common sense. When you’re working out, and I really feel that they should not be working out when they’re pregnant, why risk losing your baby for working out. That’s ridiculous. If you could do that as soon as the baby’s born.”
Steve from New Haven said, “I think it’s ridiculous, especially to the pregnant female that is lifting weights. Stating that life is dangerous, she’s not going to stop living it, well that’s fine but how about some consideration to your unborn child. That’s like saying okay life’s dangerous, I’m going to keep smoking, drinking and doing drugs, yeah it doesn’t make any sense.”
