HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH/AP) — A light snowfall has made roads slippery and prompted school delays of one to two hours across Connecticut.

“The snow has pretty much let up across the state,” Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Sam Kantrow said.

Schools in Waterbury, Stratford, Naugatuck, Groton, and Waterford are among those opening late.

“It doesn’t take much,” Kantrow said. “It’s a very, very small amount of snow… For the roads it causes a lot of slippery locations.”

Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks is reporting four cancelled morning flights.

No delays are reported on the Metro-North Railroad, but the railroad advised riders via Twitter to “take care when traveling & allow for additional travel time. Use caution on trains, platforms & staircases.”
