Missing rehab patient found


SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A missing rehab patient has been found and was taken to a hospital for examination.

William Luciano was found at the Huntington Street Café. He was conscious and talked with police.

Luciano, 47, was last seen by staff members going into the woods near Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes around 11:30 pm Tuesday evening.

The Derby Fire Department assisted Shelton Police, Fire & EMS officials in the search, and state police also responded with police dogs to help look for Luciano.  His family also assisted first responders with the search.

“A special thank you goes out to all the first responders who braved the elements and worked tirelessly throughout the night to locate Luciano,” Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said in a statement.

Police say Luciano has a medical condition.
