Voice of the People: January 29, 2014

WTNH– Lots of backlash against New York Congressman Michael Grimm today after he threatened a report who tried to ask him about an investigation into his campaign fundraising. Here’s tonight’s voice of the people.

“The reporter was only doing his job and who does the congressman think he is above and beyond the rest of the people? He’s no better than we are, he should be charged for threatening,” said Ruth, East Haven.

“It saddens me that we have people like this leading us, controlling our ways of living our lifestyle you know writing laws, when they are the bullies themselves sometimes,” said Bob.

“That congressman was out of line for threatening the reporter but the reporters they push and they push and the guy blew up. I hope the guy you know they accept his apology but that’s what happens when you push and you push,” said Joe from Waterbury.

“You cannot hold office and threaten to throw people off balconies and threaten to do them harm and rip this young man in half. He was just doing his job and he has a right and we have a right to know the answer to the question,” said Dora.

“Yes that senator should be arrested and forced to resign after his despicable conduct,” said Will Wallingford.
