STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH)–A Stamford gymnastics coach was arrested Tuesday for exchanging sexually explicit videos and texts with a 15-year-old girl.
Thomas Moy, 23, of Norwalk, was arrested after police received a complaint from the teen’s father.
When police seized Moy’s phone, hundreds of texts and videos of sexually explicit nature exchanged by him and the teen were found.
Moy was charged with risk of injury, enticing a minor and employing a minor in an obscene performance.
Moy worked as a gymnastics coach at a facility in Stamford where he struck up the relationship with the minor. He also worked part time as a lifeguard at the New Caanan YMCA.
Police devised a ruse to get Moy to headquarters to talk about an unrelated investigation, when he was arrested and his phone was seized.
More charges are expected after the search of the phone is completed.
Moy was held on $100,000 bond.
