COVENTRY, Conn. (WTNH) — On Wednesday, January 29th members of the Coventry Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Hartford Task Force executed a search and seizure warrant at 32 Dexter Road in Coventry.
As a result of the search warrant execution, police found an assault rifle that was illegally possessed by of one of the residents of the home. The Coventry Police Department arrested 32-year-old Chaz Pacyna and charged him with illegal possession of an assault weapon, risk of injury to a minor and illegal possession of a high capacity magazine.
Pacyna was held on a $150,000 bond and presented on Thursday, January 30th at GA-19 in Rockville. The case is still under investigation and additional charges may be forthcoming.
Pacyna currently has a pending case at GA-19 for an arrest for criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon that happened on August 13, 2013.
The details leading up to the execution of the search warrant are part of an ongoing investigation, and thus further details cannot be released at this time.
