Police: Body found at Farmington reservoir

FARMINGTON, Conn. (AP) — Police say a man’s body has been found on the banks of Farmington Reservoir.

Farmington police spokesman Lt. Colin Ryan said an ice fisherman reported finding the body Friday afternoon on the banks of the reservoir near Reservoir Road in the area of Route 6.

Ryan said there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body.

He said the man has been identified but his name was not being released until family members could be notified.

Ryan said authorities are investigating the man’s death and don’t immediately known if there is a connection with a minor car crash in the area on Wednesday.

He said the driver of that car had left the scene before a police officer arrived and there were no obvious signs that anyone had been injured.
