Fugitive caught with gun & crack

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– New Haven police arrested a fugitive on an outstanding warrant after pursuing him on foot Saturday.

Police say they spotted 24-year-old Michael Stanley on Kensington Street, just before 9 p.m., and pursued him on foot.

As he was apprehended, Stanley threw down a Glock 21 .45 caliber pistol in the backyard of 30 Garden Street, police said.

He was also in possession of crack cocaine.

Stanley is a convicted felon and faces multiple charges.
