Man shot in toe outside home

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A man was shot in the big toe in front of his New Haven home on Saturday night.

Police say they the victim, Marqis Gomez, 20, was found with a gun shot wound to his big toe at 15 Harding Place around 8:57 PM.

Gomez told police he was shot in front of his home at 161 Thompson Street.

His injury is superficial and non life threatening.

A home at the intersection of Thompson Street and Dixwell Avenue was also struck by a bullet but no one was hurt.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police at 203-946-6316.
