Professor missing since December

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)– Bridgeport police are looking for a professor who has been missing since December.

Police say Jarvis Smith, 39, was last seen by his family on December 28th. He was reported missing last week.

Smith is an adjunct professor at Housantonic Community College. He has not been at work since December 13th, which was prior to the school closing for winter break.

Smith is described as a 5’6″ tall, African American male, with a medium brown complexion and a bald head. He weighs 190 lbs. and has a stocky build. He also is clean shaven and wears wire frame glasses.

Smith was last seen dressed in business attire.

Police consider him possibly endangered but do not have indication of foul play.

Anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts is asked to contact Bridgeport Police at 203-581-5201.
