WTNH– As we told you earlier, CVS will be the first pharmacy to stop selling tobacco products in its stores. Now some Connecticut lawmakers also want to ban smoking on all college campuses. You told us what you thought about these issue in tonight’s voice of the people.
“Now that CVS will be ending the sale of cigarettes, I wonder if that also means they won’t be getting in line to sell medical marijuana. Now that Chris Murphy wants to end cigarette smoking on all Connecticut campuses, will he also be at the beginning of the line to end marijuana usage on all Connecticut campuses? Has anyone spoken on the impairment of marijuana on the lungs brain motor impairment etc? Let’s get a grip folks we’ve been hollering for 50 years to end cigarette smoke but now these are the same people who will be on board to legalize marijuana and its usage,” said Tina, Roxbury.
“I think you’re idea is great to removing the tobacco products from the shelves to help people to stop smoking,” said Dolores, Wolcott.
“I think it’s a great idea to have the colleges go smoke free. I see more and more younger people smoking now than what they ever did before, and I think whatever we can do to get people to stop smoking would be an advantage to them and to everyone around them,” said Joe, Meriden.
