BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man is charged with assault for stabbing a man in November who refused to give him spare change and told him to get a job.
Fifty-year-old Dwayne “Crab” Upchurch was arrested in Bridgeport Thursday on a second-degree assault charge.
The 39-year-0ld victim told police that he was walking in Bridgeport on Nov. 22 when Upchurch asked him for some change.
Police say the victim refused and told Upchurch to get a job before Upchurch stabbed him twice in his chest.
The victim was treated at Bridgeport Hospital for minor injuries and has since recovered.
