MERIDEN, Connecticut. (WTNH) — Southbound traffic on I-91 in Meriden came to a halt to this afternoon when two tractor trailers collided. Another crash closed southbound lanes in Cromwell.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes near exit 17.

Police say a vehicle driven by James Condon was stopped due to traffic. Another vehicle driven by Arben Buzali, failed to maintain a proper distance so he didn’t have time to brake and collided into Condon’s vehicle.

Condon suffered a minor injury and Buzali wasn’t injured.

Buzali was issued an infraction for failure to maintain a proper distance.
