Fugitive surrenders after Enfield standoff

ENFIELD, Conn. (WTNH)– A fugitive surrendered to police after a standoff in Enfield, Tuesday evening.

Police say 34-year-old Timothy Doyle, who lives on Audrey Lane, refused to leave his home and barricaded himself inside.

He is wanted in Springfield, Massachusetts for a weapons charge for an incident that occurred Sunday.

The negotiation team was at the scene to get Doyle out of the home without incident.

Neighbors were evacuated as a precaution.

Doyle surrendered himself after about an hour and was placed under arrest.
