Vendors helping those impacted by closed catering business

GUILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A popular wedding vendor suddenly went out of business and now other vendors are offering their services to help relieve anxious couples.

News 8 spoke with a couple from Meriden yesterday that was abandoned by their catering company without warning.

Jordan Caterers say that a poor economy forced them to shut down, but they had an exclusive contract with the Guilford Yacht club.

Now,  other vendors are coming to the rescue by offering their services to the distressed couple and anybody else whose been affected.

The Guildford Yacht Club issued a statement in response to the situation.

“We, too, are owed significant money by Jordan Caterers, but want to ensure each former Jordan client that we are working hard to identify alternatives to provide quality catering services for the scheduled weddings and other events,” said Guilford Yacht Club.
