SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) – Congratulations are in order for a South Windsor police officer who is retiring after 37 1/2 years on the job.
Sergeant Eugene Thomas Field has been working to keep South Windsor safe since 1976. Today, the father of two is stepping down from his post.
Over the course of his tenure at the South Windsor Police Department, field patrolled the streets and became certified as a child passenger safety seat technician.
Today he will retire at the annual Valentine’s Day child safety seat check at the fire department on Ellington Road
