BOLTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bolton man is facing charges after threatening a victim with a gun, stemming from an argument over snow removal.
Police say 54-year old Stephen Arnold of 18 Brandy St, Bolton, is facing multiple charges including Threatening, Breach of Peace, Weapons in a vehicle, carrying a firearm under the influence of alcohol, Reckless Endangerment and Unlawful Discharge of a firearm.
According to Officials, Arnold ran into the victim at a local business, pulled out a gun, and pointed it at the victim saying “I’ll put you in the ground,”and then drove off.
Police say the victim carried on with errands, and then ran into Arnold again at another business. Arnold again, pointed the gun at him and the victim fled.
After this encounter, police say the victim saw Arnold a third time at a different location. The victim told police he saw a vehicle drive up to him, turn off its lights and then heard a “pop” and thought he had been shot at, which is when he called police.
Officials say they found Arnold at his house and arrested him. Upon his arrest, they found the gun that he used to threaten the victim, as well as other firearms.
He’s being held $20,000 bond and will stand before a judge today.
