Danbury, Conn. (WTNH)– A Waterbury woman was arrested for attempting to hire a hit man to kill a friend.
Police tell News 8 that 58 year-old Elvira Rose of Crest Street, was arrested by Danbury Police on Wednesday after an investigation was launched that Rose was interested in hiring someone to murder her friend. Police made arrangements with Rose to meet with an undercover officer who posed as hit man.
Police say Rose solicited the officer to murder a male friend. She was immediately arrested by officers and transported to the Danbury Police Department. She was charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder and is currently being held on $500,000 bond.
