Parking ban in New Haven to clear snow

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — As crews in New Haven work to remove mounds of snow from city streets, more snow is in the forecast.

Plows, front loaders and dump trucks were on Elm Street along the New Haven Green moving snow off the street.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the city will begin a parking ban to remove the piles of snow. The city said they will focus on 39 “priority” streets:

In what seems like the winter that will never end, the latest round of snow is expected to begin early Tuesday, with three to six inches of snow possible.

“Plowable snow amounts across the state of Connecticut,” Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said.

The snow is expected to start falling around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.
