MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — A Middletown man faces larceny charges after he was arrested for stealing dozens of bottles of fingernail polish, police said.

Marco Gonzalez, 43, admitted stealing and re-selling the polish, police said.

Officers were called to the CVS Pharmacy on Washington St. on February 8 for a reported shoplifting. The manager told police someone had stolen 89 bottles of “Essie” nail polish, worth a total of $800.

Police had a description of the thief and his getaway vehicle. A short time later they found Gonzalez, who match the description. He was arrested on an outstanding re-arrest warrant.

While being questioned, police said Gonzalez admitted selling the polish for a dollar a piece, or $90.
