New London man arrested for August murder

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH)– A New London man was arrested for murder Wednesday, in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in August.

Police say on August 9th, they responded to Connecticut Avenue and Prest Street around 9 PM, where they discovered a man lying in the roadway.

The victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to L&M Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

After an investigation, 28-year-old Keith Delvalle was arrested for the murder.

Delvalle had fled the state and was located in New York where he was placed into custody.

He was charged with murder, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, and commission of a class A felony with a firearm.

Delvalle is being held by the New York City Police Department where he’s awaiting his extradition.
