Voice of the People: Feb. 19, 2014

WTNH– Riders sounding off about the service provided by Metro-North. Sloppy roads in New Haven and reports of bad conditions at a local VA hospital. These are just some topics you called in to us about in tonight’s’ voice of the people.

“The metro-north situation has been deplorable of late, but Senator Blumenthal seemed to have highlighted the issue very very well,” said Bill, Branford.

“I drive a school bus in New Haven, and the roads are really narrow now. One vehicle has to pull over now for us to get through. And everyone tries to beat the bus before you…..think of it as the kids are standing in the street in the corner in the cold waiting for us,” said Anonymous, Naugatuck.

“I’m calling about the situation with the VA hospital. I will never send my father there ever again. He was in and out and was getting infected with multiple things and then I hear this and also the cafeteria I’ve heard very bad things about,” said Anonymous, New Haven.
