Voice of the People: Feb. 20, 2014

WTNH– We’re halfway through the parking ban in the city of New Haven but plenty of you still have something to say about how the city is plowing. And we’ve gotten a lot of reaction about the less-than-perfect conditions at the VA hospital in West Haven. That’s just some of the topics in tonight’s voice of the people.

“They’re saying they’re not doing the lots because there’s no school but my son had a basketball game at the school and the lots weren’t done and people were falling down and I can’t understand what’s going on,” said Mark from New Haven.

“If the city plowed correctly when they first plow, um plow all the way up to the curbs and just making one pass, there would be less of a problem. They wouldn’t have to come back in the future to correct the problem,” said Dave from New Haven.

“I want to say that I’ve had fabulous wonderful results from the West Haven veterans hospital. I can’t say enough to commend them for their efforts,” said Hugh.

“The whole hospital is disgusting. It’s a disgrace to the veterans, people have been getting sick from the food in the cafeteria. The cafeteria’s filthy, with mice and roaches they aren’t using safe handling, they’re serving weeks old food,” said Jamie from West Haven.
