Burglary attempt foiled


NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — A Norwalk woman is facing charges for allegedly planning to commit a burglary at a New Canaan home.

Police arrested 41-year-old Marjorie Swanke on Monday.

Officials with the New Canaan Police Department say they received tips that Swanke was orchestrating a burglary at a residence and was trying to find people to help her carry out the crime.

Swanke is facing charges including, Criminal Attempt to Commit Larceny 1st Degree and Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary 2nd Degree.

She is being held in the York Correctional Facility in Niantic.
