Voice of the People: Feb. 26, 2014

WTNH– We are still getting a lot of feedback about the incident at a Sterling school this week where a grandfather picked up the wrong child. Many of you have called in wondering how a 5-year-old ended up in the home of a complete stranger. Here’s tonight’s voice of the people.

“I have a comment about the grandparent that took the wrong kid home. How in the world does a grandparent not know they have the wrong kid, that’s impossible to do. Family members know family members, there’s no way in the world they could not know they have the wrong kid,” said Anonymous, New Haven.

“I’m just wondering how the grandfather picked up the wrong grandchild from the school. Maybe the teacher’s don’t know the child by name,” said Louis, Hamden.

“I don’t know why the child wasn’t asked, is this your grandfather? He’s five-years-old he could have said that’s not my grandfather, children should always be asked if they know who it is that’s picking them up,” said Claudia, North Haven.

“I don’t understand how this man picked up the wrong child from school. Doesn’t he know his own grandchild?” said Jeff, West Haven.
