SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — One lane of traffic is now moving past the scene of a tractor-trailer rollover in Southington.
The crash happened a little before 6 a.m. and closed the eastbound lanes of I-84 between Exits 31 and 32.
A traffic camera image shows the cab of the truck on its side. The truck’s cargo has reportedly spilled onto the highway.
An ambulance was on the scene and the driver suffered from minor injuries.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said that about 50 gallons of fuel spilled from the truck’s saddle tanks. It is unclear whether the spill was contained to the highway.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation did not have an estimate on when the highway would reopen.
