HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Hartford are on the hunt for a 38-year-old man wanted in connection with a 2013 murder.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Montrell Brown of Hartford, in connection with the 12th murder in the capitol city last year.
Police say 30-year-old Edmund Johnson was found lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest on Albany Avenue near Vine Street back on July 27.
Johnson was transported to St.Francis hospital where he later died.
On February 21 Hartford police secured an arrest warrant for Brown, charging him with Murder, Criminal Posession of a Firearm, Reckless Endangerment and Carrying a Pistol without a Permit, in connection with the murder.
Hartford police say Brown hangs around on Albany Avenue, Vine Street and Magnolia Street.
Police arrested Brown’s brother, 37-year-old Tremaine Jackson, who is also known as “Thick”, Thursday morning on an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear.
Detectives believe Brown is on the run and trying to escape police.
The gun police allege he used to kill Johnson, has not yet been recovered.
