Drug bust and arrest in Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Plainfield Police say they found $3,000 worth of heroin during a traffic stop Tuesday night.

Police say the drugs were found by a K-9 officer, hidden inside a car being driven 28-year-old Amanda Burelle.

Burelle was arrested, and faces charges of possession with intent to sell.  She was also driving without a suspended license.  Burelle is free on $10,000 bond, pending a court appearance March 17th.

Police ask anyone with information on illegal drug activity to call 860-564-0804 or use the department’s anonymous tip line at 860-564-7065.
