The car being driven by Colonel collided with a septic truck and burst into flames. Police are investigating if the car was stolen after they had been following that car on the other side of town.

On Monday, Sergeant Michael Demaine, East Hartford Police, said “It was just a stolen motor vehicle..unless it was something more dangerous we would keep following.”

Colon was a student at Synergy Alternative High school at Stevens School.

The accident remains under investigation.
