Improving recycling in Conn.

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — State lawmakers will meet today to discuss a recycling bill proposed by Gov. Dannel Malloy.

Governor’s S.B. No. 27 addresses several goals including a new solid waste management plan, setting a timeline to “repurpose” the Hartford incinerator, and create what will be known as the Connecticut Recycling Foundation. Gov. Malloy wants to double the amount of recyling in the next decade.
