Police bust mushroom growers

WATERTOWN, Conn. (WTNH)- Two brothers appear before a judge, after police bust them growing hallucinogenic mushrooms inside a home.

Police arrested Aaron Orienter and his brother Richard on numerous drug charges including manufacture and sale of a hallucinogen.

The search and seizure of the drugs took place Thursday at 862 Park Rd. in Watertown. Police say the warrant for the search was the result of a lengthy investigation into the sale of hallucinogens. Amphetamines and other drug paraphernalia were also found inside the home.
