CCSU sets to swear in new police chief

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Central Connecticut State University is preparing to swear in a new police chief.

The school says Gregory Sneed will be sworn in during a ceremony scheduled for Monday afternoon in Founders Hall.

The 54-year-old Sneed will succeed Jason Powell who retired in August.

Sneed comes from Eastern Connecticut State University, where he served as the deputy police chief since 2009.
