HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The Connecticut Children’s Medical Center will be the recipient of a pretty large gift today.

It will receive a check for $250,000 to fund a new Family Consultation Room. The donation comes from Virtus Investment Partners.

There will be a presentation at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the medical center.

On Good Morning Connecticut Friday, News 8’s Kent Pierce spoke with Dr. Paul Kirshbom about what the room means for them and their patients’ families.
