Trucks, SUV collide in Seymour

SEYMOUR, Conn. (WTNH) –Crews hurried to the scene of a terrible three-vehicle crash on West Street and Broad Street in Seymour on Friday afternoon.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m., and sent five people to the hospital, including an 18-month old baby.

Police said all of the injuries sustained in the crash were believed to be non-life threatening.

The crash happened right under the Route 8 bridge.

A Tweet from Seymour Ambulance (@SeymourEMS) said in part, “Seven patients with severe injuries noted.  Mutual aid from several towns.”

The crash involved an SUV and two pickup trucks, one of which had its roof removed.

No other details were immediately available.
