BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A Lisbon man has been sentenced to nine years in prison in the theft of nearly 20 guns stolen taken a string of residential burglaries.

The U.S. attorney’s office says 43-year-old Bernard McAllister was sentenced Friday in federal court in Bridgeport.

McAllister has been detained since he was arrested in Massachusetts along with Mark Missino of Waterford in November 2010. Authorities say had filled an East Lyme storage locker with 19 firearms and other items stolen during burglaries between 2008 and 2010.

McAllister pleaded guilty in June to possession of firearms by a convicted felon. Missino has pleaded guilty to the same charge.

Judge Stefan Underhill called for McAllister’s sentence to run concurrently with a state sentence he is facing on charges related to the burglaries.
