LISBON, Conn. (WTNH) — A Lisbon man was sentenced today for stealing a bunch of guns.

Forty-three-year-old Bernard McAllister was sentenced to nine years in prison, and five years of supervised release.

McAllister and 46-year-old Mark Missino of Waterford were arrested in Massachusetts in November 2010.

Police say they had 19 guns that were stolen between 2008 and 2010, in a string of residential burglaries.

Police say those guns were found in a storage locker in East Lyme. Police also found about 8,000 other items they believe were stolen during the burglaries.

Last year, McAllister pleaded guilty to one count of possession of firearms by a previously convicted felon. Police say he’s been convicted of a number of felony offenses in other states.

Missino also pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearms by a previously convicted felon, and is awaiting his sentencing.
