Two-car accident closes lane on I-84 westbound

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A two-car accident temporarily closed a stretch of I-84 westbound Saturday afternoon.

The accident, reported by the Connecticut Department of Transportation at 2:05 p.m., closed the highway between exit 25A and 25, but as of 2:40 p.m. only the right lane was closed.

It’s unknown if there are any injuries or when the scene will be completely cleared.

We’ll provide updates as they are made available.

Update 3:30 p.m. Saturday

It’s slow going but all lanes are now open on I-84 westbound in Waterbury.
