3 arrested after West Haven police chase

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– Three people were arrested after they led police on a chase through West Haven, early Monday.

Police say they were approaching a car during a motor vehicle stop on Brown Street and when officers approached, the car fled.

The car then traveled to Elm Street where at the intersection of Elm and First, it passed a line of stopped traffic and struck a stopped car after crossing the center line. This hit a car which then struck a third car.

The three suspects then left the car and fled on foot, leaving the car in drive which proceeded into a snow bank.

After chasing the suspects on foot, officers arrested the driver, 20-year-old Devon Colon, and passengers Yoshio Laureano, 27, and Ramon Mora, 31, all of New Haven.

Colon was charged with many motor vehicle violations and drug possession.

Moron and Laureano were charged with narcotics possession and interfering with police.
