WESTBROOK, Conn. (WTNH) — Train commuters in Westbrook will have a fancy new station to use beginning Tuesday.

The new station will open at Noon for Shore Line East commuters, and includes an enclosed waiting area and platforms on both sides of the tracks, with an overhead pedestrian bridge connecting the two sides.

There are parking spaces for nearly 200 cars.

It’s taken a little more than two years to build the station, at a cost of more than $14 million.

The station is on Norris Ave./Route 153 off I-95 Exit 65.
