Three arrested after routine traffic stop in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police arrested three people after a routine traffic stop on March 22.
Police say an Acura was turning from Chapel Street and onto Norton Street, without using a signal. When officers ran the license plate, they found the registration was suspended.
Police say when they pulled the car over, those inside were moving around, and when they approached the
car a smell of marijuana was coming through the window.
Officers found marijuana on the floor and under the front passenger seat. They also found a handgun under the rear driver’s seat. All three people in the car were arrested.
